Sludge dryers are designed to dry sludge generated during the Wastewater Treatment process and reduce its volume. They can dry waste activated sludge and coagulation-sedimentation sludge to approximately 10–40% moisture content, helping reduce the amount of sludge for disposal.
AMCON offers electric rotary kiln sludge dryers and steam-heated drum sludge dryers. When combined with the VOLUTE™ Dewatering Press, they can be used to build an integrated sludge dewatering and drying treatment system.
Sludge Dewatering and Fermentation System dewaters, dries and ferments sludge, then discharges it as pellets of fermented sludge. It combines the required equipment, including a Sludge Dewatering Press, Sludge Dryer and fermentation tank, into a single unit. The system is well suited to rural community wastewater treatment facilities with limited space.
