Shaftless Screw Conveyor
for Clog-Resistant Dewatered Cake Conveying
Shaftless Screw Conveyor AWS Series
The shaftless screw design prevents fibrous and other easily entangled dewatered cake from wrapping around the screw, reducing the risk of clogging. The covered conveying section also helps prevent cake spillage and scattering, keeping the surrounding work area clean.

Shaftless Design Prevents Cake from Wrapping Around the Screw
In conventional shafted screw conveyors, fibrous dewatered cake can wrap around the central shaft, causing clogging.
The AWS Series uses shaftless spiral flights that minimize material buildup and wrapping. Without a central shaft obstructing the flow, dewatered cake is pushed smoothly through the trough.
This design makes the conveyor suitable for handling difficult materials, including highly viscous dewatered cake, cake with high fiber content, and materials containing foreign matter.
Covered Design Prevents Spillage and Keeps the Work Area Clean
The conveying section is enclosed with a cover, helping prevent dewatered cake from spilling or scattering compared to open-type systems such as belt conveyors.
The covered design also helps reduce the spread of odors, keeping the surrounding work area clean.
Simple Structure for Easy Installation and Maintenance
With a simple design focused on essential functions, the AWS Series is easy to introduce, whether installing a conveyor for the first time or upgrading conveying equipment alongside an existing sludge dewatering press.
Its simple structure with fewer components also makes routine inspections and maintenance easier.
Compact Design with Flexible Length and Angle Options
The AWS Series supports both horizontal and inclined conveying, with the length and angle designed to suit the installation layout, the position of the sludge dewatering press, and the discharge destination, such as a hopper, container, or truck.
Unlike belt or chain conveyors, its compact design does not require large support structures or tensioning devices, making it suitable for installation in limited spaces.
When combined with an AMCON sludge dewatering press, we can propose a layout that provides a smooth connection from the press discharge outlet to the desired destination.
By continuously conveying dewatered cake from the press to the discharge point, the system can also reduce the manual handling workload at sites where cake is currently transported by hand.
Installation Examples

From Inquiry to Installation
We will discuss your requirements, including the volume and characteristics of the dewatered cake, conveying distance and height, and the layout in relation to the sludge dewatering press. Based on these conditions, we will recommend a suitable model, length, and angle for your installation site.
We will also consider whether a control panel is required and how the conveyor will be interlocked with the sludge dewatering press. Once the specifications are finalized, we will provide a quotation. After manufacturing and delivery, our service engineers will verify the interlocked operation with the sludge dewatering press before handing over the equipment.
