Their Problem

Located in Ronneburg, Germany, this sewage treatment plant is designed to process domestic wastewater for approximately 8,500PE. However, since they didn’t own any dewatering equipment, the subsequent sludge disposal costs were hitting the roof. In addition to the above issues, , securing room for setting up further equipment was severely limited, making it almost impossible to  install new sludge dewatering equipment inside their existing building.

AMCON’s Solution

First and foremost, we had to address the fundamental issue of the lack of sludge dewatering. As such, AMCON proposed the installation of one of our sludge dewatering machines. By dewatering the sludge, the overall waste can be reduced by almost 95% of the original volume, thereby significantly cutting down on disposal costs. Additionally, instead of constructing a new building to place the dewatering equipment in, AMCON provided all the necessary equipment in a Containerized Sludge Dewatering Unit, offering the following benefits:

The interior of the container, equipped with 100mm of thermal insulation, is designed with an efficient layout for operations. Dewatered sludge cake is automatically transported to a disposal container using a screw conveyor system.
